Cẩm-Anh Lương (she/they) is a new media artist and designer from Vietnam, currently based in Berlin. Their work focuses on personal narratives, migration, and the politics of memory, using mixed media or virtual reality to create immersive, interactive experiences that challenge perceptions of reality. These installations and virtual worlds would then serve as platforms for exploring forgotten histories shaped by the legacies of colonization, state propaganda, and stereotypes imposed on postcolonial migrant female* bodies.
Cẩm-Anh was awarded the kultur_formen Durchstarten grant in 2020, the DAAD Abschlussarbeit Stipendium and Culture Moves Europe grant in 2024. Her work has been exhibited in a group performance at Berlin Biennale 10 (2018), nGbK (New Society for Visual Arts in Berlin, 2021), Vorspiel Berlin (2022 & 2023), Carnival of Algorithmic Culture Toronto (2023), and documenta-fifteen (2022).
